Ο έντονος κυματισμός και το μπότζι του πλοίου έχει ως αποτέλεσμα μεγάλες υλικές ζημιές. Το θετικό είναι ότι η μία εκ των δύο μηχανών που έχει επανέλθει, εξακολουθεί να δουλεύει.
Οι επιβάτες παραμένουν ψύχραιμοι κι ενώ η επιχειρήση εκκένωσης συνεχίζεται.
